’50s
Erik Speyer ’58 is an illustrator
and author of
children’s books, including
The Adventures of KUBI
and a second one, which
will be available early next
year. Since his time at Saint
Leo Prep, Speyer served
as a naval aviator during
the Vietnam War and had
a successful career in the
museum world in Florida.
He designed Planet Ocean,
an oceanographic museum
that operated in Miami
until 1991, and was involved
with the Miami Museum of
Science.

Frank Dwyer ’68 just
completed his 19th year
teaching at Brooklyn Tech
High School and recently
received the Distinguished
Service Award from the
Alumni Foundation for AP
Government and School
Activities. He is looking
forward to seeing his
classmates for their 50th
reunion in November!

Philip Bernhardt ’79 is
retired from teaching and
working at Saint Leo’s South
Hampton Roads Education
Center. His book, Khan’s
Game, was published in
April.
William Moss ’79 was
named chairman of the New
Jersey Bankers Association.
Moss serves as president
and CEO of Two River Community
Bank.

James “Paul” Sinor ’81 is
an active author with two
mystery series in print and
eight feature films produced
from scripts he has written.
His novel, Dancing in the
Dark, was one of 10 finalists
for the 2018 Georgia Author
of the Year Award.
’90s
Edward Hoisington ’92 ’10
has completed the Doctor
of Management in Organizational
Leadership program
through the University of
Phoenix. Hoisington works
at the Office of the Director
of National Intelligence
with Wounded Warriors in
addition to being an adjunct
professor of criminal justice.
Peter Smith ’95 was
recognized by the New Jersey
School Boards Association for
his 15 years of service in addition
to becoming a Certified
Board of Education Member.
Lisa Scott ’98 is a trained
career direct consultant in
Smyrna, GA. Scott works
with young and middle-aged
adults to help them accurately
assess their personality,
interests, skills, and values as
they relate to educational and
career choices.

John Klopfer ’00 has published
his second novel, Flight
of the Soul, alongside his wife
Cynthia. The two are active
with local charities and plan to
donate a portion of the proceeds
of this novel to charity.
Spencer Davis ’03 currently
works for Savannah District,
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
as the senior project manager
for the $973-million Savannah
Harbor Expansion Project.
Louis Trocchio ’09 works
for the Camden (NJ) County
Police Department. Trocchio
was featured on a prominent
statewide online news site in
a segment about the growing
heroin epidemic. He is credited
for saving multiple lives
using Narcan kits.
