her trademarked persona, Mz Goose,
The Modern Day Mother Goose®.
Elyse attended Bennington College in
Vermont and The American Academy
of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She
earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from
the University of Wisconsin.
Her professional performances for children began in 1982 as Mz
Goose, The Modern Day Mother Goose®, appearing at festivals and
on radio and television, performing her original nonviolent rhymes
and stories as a puppet-storyteller. Her previous work, Mz Goose

ILLUSTRATOR ANNE-MARIE SONNEVELD
The illustrations for this book were created by Anne-Marie
