SPRING
TRAINING
“Growing up playing baseball in Dunedin,
MLB Spring Training was something we
looked forward to every year. Our state’s
beautiful weather, unmatched hospitality
and numerous attractions make it a perfect
place for teams, fans and Florida families
to come together before the season starts.
With an annual economic impact of almost
$700 million, we look forward to welcoming
visitors from all over the world in 2019 and
can’t wait for this year’s Spring Training.”
— Governor Ron DeSantis
“March is a special time for baseball fans in
Florida. It’s a chance to get an up-close view
of baseball’s current best players as well
as the stars of tomorrow at a sun-soaked
Florida Grapefruit League game. Spring
Training Games are the best places to snag
an autograph or two while enjoying an
afternoon or evening at the ballpark.
Florida’s Spring Training facilities have
undergone renovations to give each of them
their own game experience. With the updated
ballparks comes a commitment from current
teams – most of whom are staying in their
current locations into the decades of 2030
and 2040 – to continue their relationships
with their Florida host communities.
Welcome to the 2019 Florida Spring Training
season. Now, let’s play ball!””
— Jesse Biter, Chairman
Florida Sports Foundation Board of Directors
