& Music Festival

Come enjoy delectable seafood dishes and
entertainment by top local and regional musical
performers. Free to attend.
All food entrees (seafood, meat and vegetarian)
prepared fresh onsite by local restaurants and food
purveyors. Seafood dishes are created using
indigenous and sustainable ocean resources from
Florida’s coastal waters. Foods will be accompanied
by a delicious assortment of side dishes, desserts
and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
While enjoying your meal and drinks enjoy the
sounds of live musical performances on stage by
some of Florida’s and the region’s top musical
talents. Music will be from such genres and R&B,
jazz, rock, reggae and Caribbean sounds.
The final ‘seasoning’ will be a walk through a
marketplace of arts and crafts, gourmet food items
and specialty products.

With generous support, the Barrier Island Parks
Society has restored our community’s treasure to its
1927 splendor, and will preserve this legacy for future
generations. All are invited to visit and enjoy the
beautiful Gasparilla Island Lighthouse. Participants can
enjoy climbs to the top of Gasparilla Island Lighthouse
every 20 minutes. Spaces are limited so RSVP to (941)
964-0060. Cost is $15 per person ($5 per child; ages
6-11) and is payable the day of the climb.
Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest

Siesta Key Beach, Sarasota
A Siesta Key tradition for more than 46 years, the
Siesta Beach Sand Sculpting Contest, sponsored by
Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural
Resources offers participants of all ages a chance to
complete and enjoy a day of sculpting. Come with
buckets and shovels in hand and great ideas for your
creation. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Prizes

Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament
Saturday, May 11 – fishing from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Boca Grande Pass
The 2019 Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament will be held
on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 11. The
awards ceremony will be held at the Boca Grande Area
Chamber of Commerce, 471 Park Ave., Ste. 3,
(Pink Pony Courtyard) following tournament fishing.
Registration is $700 for a teams of four anglers. Full
roster is 50 boats. Full payment is due on the date of
registration.
Captain’s Party Friday, May 10, 5 to 8 p.m. at the
Crowninshield Community House.

State Park with an expert state park ranger. No fee for
this program, however, all donations are greatly
