What is the definition of selfcare?
Self-care is any activity that
we do deliberately in order to
take care of our mental, emotional,
and physical health. Or lead us
towards a desired outcome. Why
is it important for your mental
and physical health? Self-care is
important because it helps a person
produce positive feelings
about themselves. In turn this
helps improve confidence, a person’s
self-esteem, and overall
physical well being. Now add a
chronic illness to the mix and self
-care takes on an even greater importance.
In living
with a rare
disease the
past thirteen
years, I didn’t
truly understand just
how important selfcare
was! Diagnosed
