West Orange Junior
Service League
She may serve as a leader
on its board of directors,
but Tennille insists any
credit for the success of the
West Orange Junior Service
League goes to the entire
group of strong and selfless
women who make up its volunteer
cadre. And it’s quite
a success: In just two years
Tennille has helped raise
$110,000 for the 18+ local
community organizations
supported by the league.
In addition to fundraising,
Tennille participates in
league-sponsored activities
such as the Edgewood Children’s
Ranch annual Survivor
Challenge and the Boys &
Girls Club’s annual Easter Egg
Hunt. Spending time with
young beneficiaries is among
her greatest joys of service.

Florida
The Victim Service Center
of Central Florida benefitted
tremendously from the
nearly 150 hours Amy spent
helping to coordinate its
“Cheers to Change” fundraising
event this year. Amy used
her social media skills to promote
attendance, arranged
the entertainment, and
secured silent auction items
and sponsorships worth
more than $5,000. She also
recruited another 60 hours of
volunteer time.
Amy became a volunteer
for the Victim Service Center,
which provides assistance
and resources to victims of
sexual assault, violent crime,
and traumatic circumstances,
three years ago aft er
learning one of her real estate
clients was the founder
of “Cheers to Change.”

Over the past six years,
Bethanne has coordinated
a backpack drive for Title 1
schools in the Conway area.
In 2019, that eff ort culminated
in the donation of more
than 350 filled backpacks delivered
to students who cannot
aff ord school supplies. In
addition, teachers at those
same schools received bags
of the necessary classroom
supplies that are frequently
forgotten or not requested
from parents.
Conway Elementary
School is one of Bethanne’s
special beneficiaries (she
sponsors a train ride at the
fall carnival and even subsidized
a group trip to Universal
Studios Florida for the
fift h-grade safety patrols),
as are many animal rescue
organizations and individual
families in need.
