Chairman and CEO Ward Nye announced
that Vice President of Strategic Finance
Charmain and CEO Ward Nye announced that the Midwest and Mideast divisions
have combined to form the new Central Division.
The new division will be led by Bill Gahan, who previously served as president of
the Midwest Division. While the Central Division will initially be headquartered in Des
Moines, Iowa, Gahan is expected to relocate his office to Indianapolis later this year.
John Harman, who provided strong leadership as president of the Mideast and
Magnesia Specialties divisions since January 2013, is now focusing solely on the
highly complex and profitable Magnesia Specialties business. His aim will be to continue
elevating that business.
In addition to creating the Central Division, the company renamed the Rocky Mountain
Division, which will now be called the Western Division. The division will continue to be
led by Division President Abbott Lawrence and will remain headquartered in Denver.
Finally, the company’s sole operation in Washington state will now report to the
Western Division’s Aggregates District. Previously, it was under the purview of the
former Midwest Division.
