Coaches
Association. Annie will
receive her award at the
association's banquet on
Feb. 23.
NATIONAL CERAMIC
EXHIBITION
Two student art pieces were selected
for the 2020 K-12 National Ceramic
Exhibition. This exhibition is held at the
National Council on Education for the
Ceramic Arts Conference in Richmond,
Virginia, on March 25-28. Casondra
Calvin’s piece, hand-built sculpture -
“Camelebot,” and Leland Steiner’s
piece, wheel thrown vase - “Solid
Deception,” were the works selected.
Only 150 pieces are selected from
across the nation and this year there
were just under 1,000 pieces entered.

FINALISTS
Nixa Public Schools would like to congratulate our
finalists for Teacher of the Year. The
Teacher of the Year will be announced at the NEF
Gala in May.

AP DISTRICT HONOR ROLL
Nixa High School has
received the AP District
Honor Roll designation for
the 2018-19 school year.
This is the fourth straight
year the school has earned
this designation. The honor roll consists of the top 250 school
districts in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved
increases in access to Advanced Placement® courses for a
broader number of students and also maintained or improved
the rate at which their AP® students earned scores of 3 or
higher on an AP Exam.
