County Clerk Creates
Webpage for Notices
Relating to
COVID-19 Situation
Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon has created
to closures, curfews and updates about government operations
in Monmouth County due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.
This page will help Monmouth County residents navigate the days ahead
with up-to-date news and information from the municipal, county and
state levels of government.
Hanlon saw the urgency to disseminate the most accurate information
in the quickest way possible, in an effort to help the residents
of Monmouth County stay informed while remaining calm during this
unprecedented time.
“Knowledge is power, and this website will make sure all county
residents are provided with correct information regarding government
services which will go a long way in avoiding panic and confusion,” Hanlon
said. “There are 53 municipalities and several government county

members and other members on the front line during this time is the
acute shortage of protective gear, in particular, face masks. Volunteers
at the InfoAge Science History Learning Center, a historic museum in Wall
Township, remembered there were 1,400 N-95 face masks that were ordered
for people helping during the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. The masks
were found in a warehouse, and 1,000 of them were donated to Riverview
Medical Center in Red Bank and another 400 to Wall Township, which was
planning to distribute them to emergency workers and senior citizens.
The Alliance of Chinese Americans at Holmdel also made a donation
of $1,000 to the Holmdel First Aid Squad. A spokesperson said the alliance
is also exploring other ways to help residents of Holmdel and neighboring
towns during this crisis, including possibly helping to deliver food to seniors.
On behalf of the Township Committee, Mayor Greg Buontempo has
