THE DAY-DATE / 1956
In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first
wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelled out in full in a window on the dial. With the President
bracelet, originally created specifically for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential
people.
LADY-DATEJUST / 1957
The Lady-Datejust was the first ladies version of the Rolex date chronometer, carrying its heritage of timeless
elegance and functionality in a smaller size perfectly suited to a lady’s wrist.
THE COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA / 1963
Launched in 1963 as a new-generation chronograph, the
Cosmograph soon gained the name that became the mark of
an icon: Daytona. Designed as the ultimate tool for
endurance racing drivers, the Cosmograph Daytona was
robust, waterproof and featured a lachymetric scale on the
bezel for calculating average speed.
ROLEX & YACHTING / 1992
Rolex is the proud sponsor of some of the world’s most
renowned offshore races.
CERACHROM BEZEL / 2005
Rolex developed and patented the Cerachrom Bezel for
specific professional models to ensure lasting beauty and
functionality even after exposure to the most extreme conditions. Fashioned from extremely hard ceramic
material. It is virtually impervious to scratches and its color is unaffected by ultraviolet rays.
ROLEX AS AN INVESTMENT
Rolex is considered one of the world’s most dominant investment watches around. They are a statement of
Wealth and Class across all continents! When looking at investing in one of these amazing time pieces some
designs are typically more valuable than others.
The Rolex Submariner is one of the most popular styles. It’s smart and durable with a sporty finish. It’s sleek
and has watertight integrity to depths of about 300 meters, so it’s no wonder why this style of watch is so highly
coveted by collectors. As a result, there are plenty of people out there who are willing to pay a premium to
get their hands on one, which means, if you’re lucky enough to bag one for a reasonable price, you’ll be likely to
make a pretty penny if you decide to sell it on in the future.
The Rolex Daytona is another model that has seen considerable price growth on the pre-owned market,
and there’s no sign of this stopping any time soon. The best example is perhaps the Rolex Daytona 16520
‘Inverted 6’, which has a highly sought-after white face, and an error on the dial (hence the ‘Inverted 6’
nickname).
Rolex’s GMT-Master and GMT-Master II are always in high demand too. Originally designed to meet the
needs of international pilots, they’re quite remarkable. They have distinctive 24-hour hands, rotating 24-hour
advanced bezels, and the GMT-Master II even lets the wearer keep track of three time zones at once. Both
models combine style and functionality perfectly, which is why they make such great investments.
