Jesuit High School president
35
Fr. Richard C. Hermes,
S.J. celebrated the annual
President's Mass on Aug. 30,
socially distanced inside the
Chapel of the Holy Cross with
more than 200 members of
the school’s President’s Circle.
President's Circle members are
those who donated $1,500 or
more to the school the previous
all who support the school. The
event featured Jesuit’s chamber
orchestra and chorus under the
direction of Nina Wegmann, and
the morning also was highlighted
by a memorable State of the School
address in which Father Hermes
chronicled many of the school's
accomplishments during the
2019-20 school year in the areas
of service, academics, athletics,
spirituality, and alumni – all made
possible by the generosity of
Jesuit’s supporters. In particular,
Father Hermes noted how Jesuit's
dedicated faculty and students
navigated a successful virtual
quarter of the 2019-20 school year
after the COVID-19 outbreak. Scan
