Another important program in which Ivette
participates through her work at Chicken of the Sea is
“work-based learning.” “My passion is education. I like
sharing knowledge that can potentially motivate kids to
study and do something productive with their lives,” she
said. “We receive students in the work-based learning
program from Toombs County High School and Vidalia
High School systems. The program allows them to work
with us while they are in school the last part of the day,
which gives them experience.”
Chicken of the Sea also facilitates learning
opportunities for STEM and FBLA students from
Toombs County High School “When they come to see
our facility, we all get involved in showing them what
they can do. We take them to the lab so they can see the
importance of ‘science, technology, engineering, and

Chicken of the Sea also facilitates learning opportunities
