season. The shops and restaurants are ready, and the beaches are
set to live up to the town’s motto, “There’s no place like Sea Bright.”
Sea Bright Councilman and Chair of the Beach Committee Samuel Catalano
reported that the beach season is scheduled to open on weekends
only beginning Saturday, May 29.
The beach will be open and staffed seven days per week starting Saturday,
June 12. He and his staff are also reminding everyone that the Andy
Rooney One-Mile/Two-Mile Ocean Swim in Memory of Andrew Manning
and Charlie Rooney will be held on Saturday, July 17.
Long a favorite of surfers, Sea Bright is known for its busy beaches. The
dedicated maintenance crews keep them in top shape, and the well-trained
Sea Bright Ocean Rescue Team of lifeguards keep them safe.
The mission of Sea Bright Ocean Rescue is to provide exemplary,
world-class lifeguard services, hazard mitigation, and water rescue for
the residents of and visitors to the Sea Bright beaches.

beachgoers have been lucky to have the services of the Sea Bright
Ocean Rescue Squad. They are highly trained professionals dedicated
to providing a vital service year after year.
During a recent summer, the municipal lifeguards pulled more
than 100 people from the Atlantic Ocean and prevented more than
1,200 dangerous incidents. It is also of note that Sea Bright lifeguards
provided emergency medical aid to more than 120 people, coordinated
two critical underwater search and recovery operations, and reunited
22 lost or missing children.
Sea Bright Ocean Rescue (SBOR) is an ocean lifeguard program
