Trinity Hall Holds Commencement Exercises
On June 6, Trinity Hall celebrated the accomplishments of
TheJournalNJ.com | JULY 2021 11
the class of 2021 with a graduation ceremony on campus.
As Head of School Mary Mahon Sciarrillo remarked, “The
class of 2021 leaves a legacy of faith, respect, leadership and,
most importantly, the ability to persevere.”
The 68 members of the Trinity Hall class of 2021 were offered
admission to nearly 150 different colleges and universities.
The impressive class also received more than $16 million in academic
merit-based scholarships.
Salutatorian Leighton Van Wagner, of Monmouth Beach,
who will attend the University of Michigan, opened the ceremony
with a prayer. The graduates were then called to the stage to
receive their diplomas ahead of speeches and recognitions. This
year, two members of the graduating class were named co-valedictorians
and shared remarks during the ceremony.
Caitlin Ramos, of Rumson, who will attend Stanford University,
challenged her classmates to “appreciate the little moments,
because they are what make life truly special. Enjoy every smile, every
laugh, every small victory, and never take life too seriously. Go out and
be a light to the world, using the skills and values that Trinity Hall has
instilled within every one of us since day one.”
Charlotte Walsh, of Fair Haven, who will attend Princeton Univer-
days together.
“The knowledge and experience that we’ve gained at Trinity Hall are
no doubt thanks to the dedicated teachers and college counselors with
whom we have formed strong relationships,” Walsh said. “Over the last
four years, we have had the blessing of learning a lot.”
Founders Award to Sciarrillo in appreciation of her service to and impact
on the community as she retires. The Founders Award serves to recognize
members of the Trinity Hall community whose commitment to the success
of Trinity Hall mirrors the dedication of the founders – Mairead and
Sean Clifford, and Victoria and Justin Gmelich.
