Middletown North Sprinter Headed to Monmouth U.

Rett Schnoor is just getting started. This spring, the Middletown

she was the conference’s top sprinter and one of the fastest in the state.

Schnoor came back this winter and won the Shore Conference
campaign, the question was whether Schnoor could be fast over the outdoor
sprints of 100 and 200 meters. She was.
“There wasn’t as much of a learning process as I thought,” she said.
“It took a little time though – I think learning how to get out of the blocks.”
Schnoor easily took to the longer outdoor sprints, culminating her
where she was ninth while setting her school record.
“I didn’t expect anything like this. I was so shocked,” she said of her
2021 season.
Schnoor didn’t just excel in the sprints; she was state champion in

anything for the team.”
Having left her mark in a short time at North, Schnoor wants to do
the same at Monmouth – only this time, over a full four years.
