DETERMINING YOUR DESIGN DISPLAY
Once your embroidered butterflies have been selected, stitched, and trimmed
out, there is a bit of further preparation needed before your butterflies are
finished. You must take note if your preferred plan for display will include
seeing the backs of the freestanding butterflies on the final project or surface.
According to Stephen Wilson, if they are dimensionally mounted on a wall,
then painting the backs of the butterflies would become your next task.
"For example, if I were installing a butterfly swarm onto a white wall, then I
would paint the backs of the butterflies white. This way, when viewed from the
side or walking up next to the wall, the backs of the designs would match the
wall, and any bobbin thread would become concealed," he explains.
