Ruth Hunt’s Famous Creation:
The Blue Monday Candy Bar
In the early 1900’s it was commonplace for traveling ministers to pass through Kentucky towns.
When one such minister supped with Ruth Hunt, he confessed that after an exhilarating Sunday
of preaching he needed a little sweet to get him through his Blue Monday. On the spot Ruth Hunt
decided to name her new candy bar the “Blue Monday Sweet Bar”! An original Kentucky Candy Bar,
this unique bar is made with rich dark chocolate surrounding a Kentucky Pulled Cream center.
