Hurt and a team of science advisers would
like to begin enacting the plan as soon as
they can, but funding needs are estimated
to be between $1.5 million to $2 million per
year for 10 years just to replace depleted
clam populations. They have not given up
hope, though, as clean water is an issue that
is becoming more and more important in the
lives of those of us who live on the coast.
