Dear SFSC Arts Patron,
At a recent focus group meeting, an audience member said, “I’m
not interested in buying a series of shows. Why should I pay for a
show that I don’t want to see?” However, another patron recently
shared with me that he and his wife purchased individual tickets
only to a few selected shows. He said that they would hear about a
fabulous performance they missed because they didn’t buy the series package. “Now
we see all the matinees and have discovered some really great entertainers like Bravo
Amici. And we feel like we’re with the ‘in crowd.’”
That’s just one of the many advantages of subscribing — experiencing a
thrilling new performance like Tango Fire or sharing an intimate moment with an
artist like Lee Ann Womack.
In addition to substantial savings with a series package, subscribers can
purchase other shows at a 15% discount, including special events like Abba Mania.
Subscribers also pay lower processing fees and get a $5 discount on preshow dinners.
One subscriber remarked, “We buy the series package to support this theater. The
performances are wonderful and we don’t want to see this performing arts center
close its doors.”
Another subscriber told us, “I subscribe and sponsor the Jazz Series because
there is no place within an hour’s drive where I can see and hear such terrific music.
And I love to treat my friends to a jazz show.” Considered to be one of the best stride
pianists in the country today, Stephanie Trick will deliver an exciting concert of
stride, ragtime, and boogie woogie on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.
Subscriptions are still available for the Jazz Series which includes four shows
for only $100. AdventHealth Trending Now Series packages are also available,
starting at $68 for four shows: New Shanghai Circus, The Hillbenders (bluegrass
meets rock & roll), Catapult: Shadow Dancers, and Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac
tribute. Kids tickets for each Trending Now show are only $10.
PS: Did you know that subscribers only paid $15 for the Changes in Latitudes show
on Jan. 30? Just another benefit of subscribing to a series. Subscribers get special
offers and invitations throughout the season.
Wishing you the best year ever,
Cindy Garren, M.F.A.
