Hiking and Nature
veiwing in
Central Florida
Central Florida’s Polk County
offers some of the most diverse
terrain for hiking in the state. From
wide-open fields to rugged oak and
pine forests, it’s important to be ready
for the many adventures you’ll encounter.
Before you start, put on some insect repellant
and maybe even wear a hat. Make certain you
have comfortable shoes, water, a map of the
area and your camera. Many of our trails are
perfect for shorter hikes and even a few for
Saddle Creek Park
those looking for an endurance trek.
No matter what you choose, you are
certain to find rare plants and
wildlife, so keep that
camera handy!
