Ruth Eckerd Hall’s newly renovated Murray Theatre is a state-of-the art, multi-use facility with a two and a half story entrance and drop off canopy,
LED lighting, and exterior-accessible ticket office.
The Murray Theatre, which originally opened in 2003, is part of an education expansion of Ruth Eckerd Hall’s
Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts, which reaches students both on and off-site. The Theatre’s renovation, completed by
Creative Contractors, was made possible through the generous support of the Murrays, a State grant and capital campaign
donors. In addition to extensive exterior improvements, the Theatre now features an enlarged and newly refinished lobby
space, new concessions, updated flooring and new seats that can be configured into a myriad of arrangements. The new
Murray Theatre offers a variety of accessible, high-quality experiences to audiences of all ages.
Hall board members Ami Forte, managing director of
The Forte Group at Morgan Stanley, and Steve Sika,
president and CEO of Nurses Choice, admired the
new Theatre.
