Erica Falls is is
rising!
T he New Orleans-born-and-raised singer
who is being heralded as “The New
Queen of New Orleans Neo-Soul” is
about to embark on a musical journey
that will take her to even greater heights.
Her upcoming performance schedule includes this month’s
Essence Festival and opening for Harry Connick Jr.’s New
Orleans Tricentennial concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los
Angeles from September 7-9, backed up by Bonerama.
Also, starting in early August, Erica will be doing an extended
tour of major Northeastern cities with Trombone Shorty’s

“Voodoo Threauxdown,” fronting the group Galactic, as a special
guest. The tour will present some of New Orleans’ top drawing
cards, including the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Kermit Ruffins,
Cyril Neville and others.
And that’s just the beginning for Erica. Under her new
manager, Selwyn Miller, plans are in the works for her to tour to
such faraway places as South Africa, Australia, and others.
After many years of backing up and recording with some of
the giants of today’s musical scene, plus fronting her own group
and Galactic, Erica is eagerly anticipating what’s to come in the
very near future.
“I’m really excited to be doing all this,” Erica said. “As a
representative of my city and to be in the company of someone
as iconic as Harry, is really great.”
Since making the decision to pursue singing as her fulltime
career 17 years ago, Erica’s vocal gifts have been widely
