Anne Alonzo has joined Corteva
Agriscience as the company's
senior vice president for external
affairs and chief sustainability officer. She
will report to Chief Executive Officer
James C. Collins, Jr. and is responsible for
setting strategy and leading the company's
external affairs function, which includes
corporate communications, global corporate
responsibility, government & industry affairs, and
product advocacy.
Most recently, Alonzo served as President and
CEO of the American Egg Board, the checkoff arm of
the U.S. egg industry, where she directed national
campaigns in advertising, public relations, consumer
education, retail, food service, export marketing and
egg nutrition.

Corteva. As a highly experienced leader in our
industry she has a unique blend of experience across
the public, not-for-profit and corporate sectors
that will greatly benefit us as we work to advance
a sustainable global agriculture ecosystem,”

of the National
Hispanic Cultural
Center
Cinthia Flores Appointed to the California
Agricultural Labor Relations
Cinthia Flores has been a staff
attorney at the Coalition for Humane
Immigrant Rights since 2017. Flores
served in several positions at the
University of California, Los Angeles
Labor Center from 2015 to 2017,
including Dream Resource Center
director and Central America Project
manager.
Flores was an associate
attorney at Holguin, Garfield,
Martinez, and Quiñonez from 2015
to 2016. In 2015, Governor Brown
appointed Flores to the Health
Professions Education Foundation.
Currently, she also serves on the
board for Latinas Lead California
Political Action Committee, an
organization dedicated to electing
Latinas to local, state, and federal
office. Flores is a graduate of the Front Line Leaders Academy and the New
American Leaders Project – electoral campaign leadership development
programs focused on training progressive and immigrant communities to run
for office.
She is a member of the Health Professions Education Foundation Board
of Trustees, treasurer for Latinas Lead California, vice president for the Latina
Lawyers Bar Association and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers
Association.
The New Mexico Department of
Cultural Affairs (DCA) announced
Josefa Gonzalez Mariscal as the
executive director of the National
Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) in
Albuquerque. She is expected to begin on May 3, 2020.
“I look forward to Josefa’s leadership of the NHCC in the
months ahead as we approach a time when our museums and cultural
institutions can safely be reopened to the public,” stated Debra Garcia y
Griego, Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Department of Cultural
Affairs. “Ms. Gonzalez Mariscal and the Department officially agreed
to an offer in early March. A decision was made to postpone the
announcement due to concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus
outbreak.”
At the NHCC, Gonzalez Mariscal will work with staff directors to
create, develop, and implement programs consistent with the center’s
mission; manage a staff that works in the areas of administration, history
and literary arts, performing arts, and visual arts; advocate for funding of
the center’s programs and assist the NHCC Foundation with fundraising
initiatives; and raise the profile of the NHCC locally, nationally, and
internationally.
Gonzalez Mariscal previously spent 20 years as a fine arts
appraiser and consultant. Recently, she curated the collection for the
soon-to-be-inaugurated Mexico City offices of the Swiss pharmaceutical
company Novartis, and she was a consultant for Muzo Emerald
Colombia concerning marine archaeological artifacts and significant
colonial pieces from the Americas.
