GUIDED WALK OF YELLOW FEVER CREEK (8+ yrs)
There is currently no public access to the Cape Coral side of this
land, so the only way to get out there is to go on one of these
guided walks. Please wear sturdy, closed toe walking shoes
or boots, and dress appropriately for rugged, sometimes wet,
terrain. Meeting location will be provided upon registration.

Paddle through wild and fascinating mangrove creeks with a
Florida Master Naturalist Guide. Learn about the critters and
ecology of the estuary. Possible sightings include birds, fish, dolphin,
and/or manatees. BYO lunch to eat on the water.

BAT KAYAK TOUR (16+ yrs)
This guided kayak nature tour departs from North Fort Myers with
GAEA Guides (meeting location given upon registration). Visit a
lovely creek in the wilderness of North Fort Myers that is part of
our estuary system with many plants and animals. At dusk, we will
see the bats come out of their hiding places. Learn about these
very interesting, ancient and important creatures from your Certified
Florida Master Naturalist guide.

FULL MOON PADDLE (16+ yrs)
City parks are normally closed after dark, so the only way to see
this area is to go with a guide to paddle around the waters of
Eco Preserve by the light of the full moon. Meeting location will
be given upon registration.

At 365 acres, Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve is currently the largest preserved green space in Cape Coral. Located just north of
Veteran’s Parkway, “Eco Park” features a 6600’ nature trail and boardwalk, two observation piers, a visitor center, a Veteran’s Memorial
area, and a seasonal kayak rental operation. There is an 800’ portage along the kayak trail - it is not for beginners. Children under 6
are not permitted in the kayaks. Visitors of any age can walk through the preserve on the boardwalk. Possible wildlife sightings include
eagles, ibis, herons, other wading and migratory birds, raccoons, snakes, etc. Be sure to stop at the visitor’s center for information on
local wildlife, trail guides, and the “last chance to use the facilities.” Please no pets, skateboards, bikes, or roller blades on the boardwalk.
Eco Preserve is open every day of the year. The Kayak Shack Outpost is
open weekends only, from November 4, 2017 through May 27, 2018.

Cash/credit cards accepted • Driver’s license required and must be 18 or older to rent.
Rental prices include sales tax & equipment.
