ROBERT (also known as BOB) is just
like you and me except he lost his memory.
He didn’t forget the little stuff like how
to drive a car or how to swear or how to
swear while driving a car. He forgot the big
stuff. Like what does he believe in? Where
are his scruples? Is the truth in the pudding
or in the details? He can’t remember. His
mind is a blank slate. Thank, God, he hears
voices. They will help him nd the truth. Or
a mental hospital.
Robert’s VOICE OF REASON has been
around since the beginning of time and
holds the key to the Door of Truth. He is
deft in the art of compromise, so it goes
without saying he’s been banished from
politics. The Voice of Reason is very wise
and speaks to us all. However, most of us
can’t hear him because the television is on
too loud. He is often mistaken for Common
Sense.
Robert’s COMMON SENSE isn’t very
common because he engages in critical
thought. Critical thought assembles facts to
decipher what is true, what is partly true or
what is barely true. For example, what is
true is rare, what is partly true is common
and what is barely true is social media.
Without critical thought, Common Sense
would be an Inner Moron.
Robert’s INNER MORON is one happy
dude. Why? Because ignorance is bliss. He
never questions anything and believes what
he’s been told. And he’s been told what
you don’t know can’t hurt you. So as long
as he doesn’t know his left from his right
– he’s good to go. He just doesn’t know
