GINETT MONCHO (Principal Dancer)
Moncho began her ballet training in
Matanzas, in the Alfonso Pérez Isaac
Vocational School of Art and continued
in the National School of Ballet, under
the guidance of professors María Rosa
Hernández, Esther García, Mirtha Hermida,
Martha Iris Fernández and the great maître
Jose na Méndez. During her school period,
she was invited to the Ibero-American
Ballet Gala in Cali, Colombia in 2001, and
received numerous awards in competitions.
In 2002, she joined Ballet Nacional de Cuba
and has performed worldwide with the
company. She was promoted to Principal
Dancer in 2016.
RAFAEL QUENEDIT (First Soloist)
Born in Havana, Quenedit began his ballet
training in 2006 at the Alejo Carpentier
Elementary School of Ballet and continued
his training at the National School of Ballet,
under the guidance of professors Verónica
Muxó and Ramona de Sáa. He participated
in numerous artistic exchanges during his
training in Peru, Italy, Canada, Mexico and
South Africa and received several awards
in important competitions. He joined Ballet
Nacional de Cuba in 2014 and with the
company, has performed in Canada, Spain
and Oman.
RAÚL ABREU (Soloist) Born in Havana,
Abreu began his ballet training in 2007
at nine years at the Alejo Carpentier
Elementary School of Ballet, and continued
it at the National School of Ballet, under the
guidance of Raquel Agüero, Laura Alvarez
and Yuneisi Rodriguez. He participated
in numerous artistic exchanges during his
training in Colombia, Peru and Mexico and
was awarded the Prize to the Best Couple
in the International Havana Encounter of
Academies for the Teaching of Ballet in
2014. He joined Ballet Nacional de Cuba
in 2016.
CLAUDIA GARCÍA (Principal Dancer)
Born in Havana, García began her ballet
training at the Pro-Danza Ballet Workshop
and continued her training at the Alejo
Carpentier Elementary School of Ballet
under the guidance of Silvia Rodríguez
and later at the National Ballet School with
Ramona de Sáa, Ana Julia Bermúdez and
Mirta Hermida, among other outstanding
professors. In 2014, García joined the
Ballet Nacional de Cuba. With BNC, she
has performed in Canada and Puerto Rico.
PATRICIO REVÉ (Principal Dancer)
Born in Havana, Revé began his ballet
studies at the Vocational workshops of the
National School of Ballet and at the Alejo
Carpentier Elementary School of Ballet
before continuing on to the National School
of Art. He has trained with outstanding
professors, among them Ramona de Sáa
and Yuneisi Rodriguez. He participated
in numerous artistic exchanges during his
training in Mexico and the United States
and was honored with several major
awards. He joined Ballet Nacional de Cuba
in 2015.
IVIS DIAZ (First Soloist) Born in Pinar del
Rio in 1977, Diaz began her ballet training
in 1986 at the Raul Sánchez Vocational
School of Art in her hometown and
continued it at the National School of Ballet
in 1992, under the guidance of Ramona de
Sáa, Mirtha Hermida, Adria Velázquez and
other distinguished professors. In 1994,
she joined the Ballet Nacional de Cuba.
She was quickly promoted from the corps
de ballet to the level of Soloist in 2003, and
in 2010, to that of First Soloist. She has
performed around the world with BNC.
ARIEL MARTÍNEZ (Soloist) Born in
Havana, Martínez began his ballet training at
the Alejo Carpentier Elementary School of
Ballet and continued in the National School
of Ballet, under the guidance of outstanding
professors Dunia Vera, Verónica Muxó,
Normaría Olaechea, Yuneisi Rodríguez and
Elena Cangas. He joined Ballet Nacional de
Cuba in 2015.With BNC, he has performed
in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
