Let your child’s imagination run wild at any of the (13)
playgrounds provided by Dunedin Parks & Recreation.
Two new playgrounds have recently opened at Scotsdale
Park and Hammock Park. The new playground at
Edgewater Park is scheduled to open in May.
Scotsdale Park features a new playground with
separate play areas for children 2-5 and 5-12. The bright
colors, slides, climbing areas and musical instruments
lots of swings and plenty of shade.
Hammock Park features a new treehouse-themed
playground with three slides and three climbers
including a spider net, a leaf and a wood ladder, as well
as plenty of swings and benches for parents to sit and
watch their children play.
Edgewater Park will have a new playground scheduled
to open in May. It will have a separate play area for
children 2-5 and 5-12 and plenty of swings. The
playgrounds incorporate the nautical theme of the
Marina and being on the water. A new inclusive area
will even have a swaying “boat” that is accessible to all
ages and abilities including wheelchairs.
Picnic pavilion rentals are available at certain locations
for birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics
or other outdoor events.
