with their sauce that’s cooked for 12 hours and
made with San Marzano tomatoes, then sprinkled
with Grande cheese.
“That’s all I use,” Bunjaku said. He went on to say,
“Those are two secrets I can give away, but that’s
it. We don't heat food in a microwave. We make
everything from scratch and serve it up fresh with
the best ingredients.”
Bunjaku and his family sell pies by the slice or in
a 24-inch round, the biggest in Ybor, he claims.
They also sell beer and wine in the 4,200 squarefoot
pizzeria with an open kitchen, so patrons can
watch as the pizza is tossed, then baked in an oldschool
pizza oven.
Dedicated small restauranteurs like Due Amici are
a part of the unique fabric that sets Ybor City and
