BEYOND the Cleanse
After my 10-day detoxification program, or during a break between programs, I recommend eating 1,800
calories a day if you need to lose weight. Otherwise, eat the amount you need to maintain your ideal body
weight. Here’s what I recommend for a post-detox diet.
Do’s Don’ts
Vegetables, especially leafy greens Refined, processed foods
Legumes (beans and lentils) High-sugar foods and beverages
Whole fruit, especially berries Alcohol and diet sodas
Low-mercury fish such as wild salmon,
smaller species of ocean fish like
sardines and herring, and rainbow trout
Nuts and seeds Potato and corn chips
Good oils like olive, avocado, coconut,
and flax
Non-gluten grains
Organic, grass-fed meat and dairy
