Sandhills Horticultural Gardens Pinehurst Hotel.
Happy 50th Birthday to our beautiful Sandhills
Gardens! For its birthday, why not gift the
gardens with your visit. Enjoying its beauty,
walking its paths, and learning the names of the
plants and trees are the gifts most appreciated!
Invite your family; bring a special friend; and
spend some time in
this special place!
Born in 1968, the
Landscape Gardening
Program grew under
the care of Mr. Fred
Garrett who initiated
the program. Ten years later in 1978, the Ebersole
Holly Garden grew the first of now 16 different
garden areas within the 32 acre garden.
Make a date to explore the winding garden
paths. And maybe one day, you’ll return as a
student enrolled in the SCC program to keep the
gardens growing. Plant a seed of kindness, and
you’ll grow a beautiful life.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas bring
along the baking, parties, and holiday shoppers.
What a beautiful time to celebrate with friends and
family as we give thanks and remember the Baby in
the manger, the greatest Gift ever given.
As you celebrate love, joy, and peace, be sure to
take a drive to Pinehurst to visit the Gingerbread
Village this December. Also check out the holiday
