PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Silverthorn Villa Representatives convened
on November 7th at 5:30 PM in the Community Center
Library. Attendees included Beth Anas (Bristol Pond); Larry
Mead (Regal Trace); and Al Sears, Donna Pannone, and
Dianne Arndt (Sterling Run).
1. Some of the items we discussed included:
a. Mulch Color – The majority of the votes for the residents
in all 3 Villa sections (Regal Trace, Sterling Run & Bristol
Pond) was for the dark brown mulch which is used at
the Community Center as well as the entrances. We only
received 119 responses from the 368 Villa units, or 31.2%.
These results will be provided to the Board of Directors for
appropriate action.
b. Al Sears will be looking into seeing what can be done to
improve the looks of the utility boxes.
c. The formal HOA meeting to vote on the Covenant revisions
was held on October 24th and all amendments were passed
and the 2019 budget was approved.
d. We noted that the large shrubberies at the corner of
Sterling Run and Mallard Lake Drive have begun to
present a visibility problem for those driving in and out
of this intersection. We are in contact with the Property
Management to discuss options and hopefully resolve this
issue.
e. When considering removing trees please make sure to
follow the ARC Policies and Procedures. If unsure of the
policies please contact the office for more information.
f. Oak Trees – Please remember that you are responsible for
raking/picking up the leaves and acorns in your yard as
well as the street. Please make sure they are picked up and
disposed of and not blown out into the street.
Thank you!
Our next meeting will be held on December 5th, 2018 at 5:30
PM at the same place.
