The Sweet Spot The Sawmill Place
IIf you go hungry around here, it’s your own fault!
Our area is blessed with a delicious mix of down-home restaurants,
upscale eateries and casual dining options. You’ll have no
trouble finding the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a quick
lunch or an evening out with a table full of friends.
Cock-a-Doodle-Doo!
Start your mountain mornings with a mocha and muffin at
G&G Bakery & Café. If the weather is nice, sit outside and enjoy
your breakfast sandwich overlooking the town square at Cabin
Coffee of Blairsville. Or, dig into a hearty — and locally sourced
— country breakfast at The Sawmill Place. You can order it
“covered and smothered” at the Waffle House. And for breakfast
on the go, it’s hard to beat coffee and a donut at Dunkin
Donuts or a quick over-easy at the Huddle House Restaurant.
For a healthy option, give S&S Smoothies & Supplements a try.
Sit Down or on the Go
For lunch — or dinner as we call it in the South — it’s hard to
beat the fresh-made sandwiches and daily specials at The Aviator
Café or Griddle Café & Deli. Grab a sub at Sammie’s Sub
Shop, or join the locals at the Hole in the Wall or Fatz Café. For
lunch with a view, don’t miss The View Grill, a hidden gem
overlooking Butternut Creek Golf Course. For a quick chicken
fix, Zaxby’s or Chick-fil-A are great options. Of course, you can
always pop in (or drive through) one of the other quick-serve
favorites like KFC–Taco Bell, McDonald’s or Burger King.
Supper’s on the Table
If you’re ready to get a little sauce on your hands, check out the
finger-licking barbecue at Jim’s Smokin’ Que or Rib Country. A
classic Southern meat-and-three awaits you at Cook’s Country
Kitchen and The Blairsville Restaurant. At Copeland’s Burgers
& Southern Eats, just pick your patty, choose your cheese and
enjoy an incredible gourmet burger. The seafood is always fresh
at Mike’s Seafood Market & Grill, where you can savor fresh
and succulent shrimp, clams, oysters and more.
At Brother’s at Willow Ranch, signature items include certified
USDA-choice Black Angus Beef and local mountain trout.
Across the street, Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is famous
both for its Friday evening seafood buffet and Sunday brunch.
Across the line in historic Hayesville, NC, don’t miss the upscale
dining and well-chosen selection of wines at The Copper Door.
The unique Mediterranean and Italian dishes at Michaelee’s
Italian Life Caffe are a great way to start a perfect date night.
The Flying Trout offers casual fine dining, a full bar and entertainment.
And you’ll enjoy weekly specials and a comfortable
atmosphere at Monet’s Italian Grille & Pizzeria. Up the road in
Hiawassee, you’ll find lakeside dining and fine international cuisine
at The Ridges Resort & Marina.
Eats from Around the World
American cuisine isn’t the only thing cooking around here.
When you’re ready for something a little different, head over to
The Sushi Shack for a tuna roll or Bento Box, or go Greek at
K&L Gyros & More. Monte Alban is the place for sizzling faji-
