STARRIDGEAQUATICS.COM. We also have a
Facebook page! I am excited and intimidated all
at the same time. See, I am just old enough to
have missed the whole social media boom, but
I am young at heart and am ready to learn all
about it.
This is a very exciting time for me, and I want
to share it with my customers, many of which
have been with me for over 25 years. Many
transitions have happened in the past 5 years.
Major changes, not only in business but also in
my personal life, have affected the direction that
Star Ridge Aquatics is moving. A new start with
new goals have motivated me to re–brand and
renew things in my business.
So take this journey; follow us on Facebook
and see what we are doing! You’ll see ponds we
are installing, waterfalls we are building, new
plants we are growing and special fish we are
raising. We will post new offerings along with
special pricing. Watch for announcements as
plants become available and new products are
introduced. Tell your friends, and together, we
can watch the miracles of modern technology
unfold the next chapter of Star Ridge Aquatics. ☐

cool and revolutionary........we had a shopping
cart!!! Well, as time passed, my revolutionary
website became outdated. I did not know how
to update its content or the looks of it. As with all
technology, changes come fast, and yesterday’s
miracle is today’s has-been. Eventually my
website was no longer supported, and I shut it
down. What started as a business with a cuttingedge
platform became just another “fish in
the pond.” In the meantime, the Internet, web
stores and social media explode and pass me
by. As I resist social media, I miss out on many
opportunities.
Star Ridge Aquatics, LLC offers over
125 varieties of aquatic plants.
As the recession of 2007 hits, I tighten
my business belt in order to survive. Many
businesses had to close their doors during this
time, but Star Ridge Aquatics survived! I had to
learn how to do more with less, a great lesson
learned especially once the economy turned
around. I noticed that most of the businesses
who survived had a web presence and a strong
social media presence.
Now that it is 2019, Star Ridge Aquatics once
again has an online web presence. A website
with water garden information, articles and
a web store. We are in the process of adding
all the products, plants and fish to the site

We take pride in helping you solve your problems!

When you’re shopping for insurance, the #1
thing that sticks in most buyer’s minds is price.
While the price of coverage is important, there’s
a difference between having insurance and
being insured. My dad always told me “buy the
best, not the cheapest, you’ll save money.”
That’s really true with insurance. We meet
with prospects all the time who have no idea
what kind of coverage, or what limit of coverage
they have. Many have purchased policies
over the Internet, or by phone on an 800#.
The problem with that is the agent or person
who sold you that policy is most likely more
interested in selling a policy than providing you
the proper coverage to protect your assets.
You have to think about what you are really
buying. The premiums you pay are funding a
policy that is supposed to step in and reimburse
or defend you when something bad happens.
After you’ve had an automobile accident, or had
a bad storm hit your home is not the time to find
out that “great deal” you got from XYZ doesn’t
protect like you thought it did.
Our agency’s procedure is to give you an
“apples to apples” quote, so you can compare
prices. Then we’re going to show you a proposal
including the coverages and limits we think you
should have to be adequately insured. In most
cases, we can design an insurance program to fit
you specifically at a price lower than what you
are paying. It’s a win-win situation for you.
Things change in all our lives. Car changes,
mortgage changes, family changes. We
encourage periodic reviews for all our clients.
Our agency also offers a no-obligation review
for people who are buying their insurance
elsewhere. It’s like getting a second opinion
about a health issue. You want to be certain you
have the proper insurance for the twists and
bumps that come along your way.
It’s a good idea to sit face to face with your
insurance agent and be sure you fully understand
what’s covered, and for how much. Also, what is
not covered and why. In this electronic world we
live, it’s easy get swayed into the speed of emails,
text messages and other medias. An old fashion
appointment with your guy or gal is a great way
to set your mind at ease. ☐
