Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of
Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying
too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must
journey to the underworld, where she reunites
with her father and struggles to remember
her lost love. With contemporary characters,
ingenious plot twists, and electrifying visual
effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless
love story.
Eurydice is presented by special arrangement with Samuel
French Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.

Join us for the 17th season of Shakespeare under the Stars with one of the Bard’s most uproarious comedies,
filled with thorny love triangles, mistaken identities and unrequited love. When Viola finds herself washed up on
the shores of Illyria and her twin brother drowned (or so she thinks), she disguises herself as a boy in the court
of the handsome Duke Orsino. Meanwhile, her twin Sebastian (very much alive and the spitting image of his
disguised sister) makes his way into town. Unrestrained madness and hilarity ensue in one of Shakespeare’s
most unforgettable comedies – a rich, warm and funny story of love, longing and laughter.
