EDUCATING TODAY,
EMPOWERING TOMORROW…
For the 8th straight year,
downtown Bradenton will
paint itself blue during the Women’s
Resource Center’s signature evening event,
Déjà Blues, on Friday, December 6th – once again coinciding
with the Bradenton Blues Festival. This year, we’re teaming up
with our friends at the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County
and NEXTGEN Family Magazine to take the event to the next
level… presenting Déjà Blues: NEXTGEN!
This promises to be an extraordinary evening featuring an open
bar, fabulous food, and live entertainment by national recording
artist and touring group Biscuit Miller & The Mix. Not only is the
Women’s Resource Center (WRC) bringing in our friends from
the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) and NEXTGEN to help raise
the bar on this community celebration, but this year’s event will
take place on the scenic rooftop of Bradenton’s brand-new City
Centre Parking Garage!
Award-winning bassist and blues master Biscuit Miller is known for
his high energy shows and blazing million-dollar smile. He is a born
entertainer and is at home on the stage where he connects with
his audience through a fun and funky approach to the blues. But
don’t let the fun and food songs fool you! Biscuit Miller & The Mix
is a dedicated group of musicians with an amazing depth of talent.
In addition to this year’s phenomenal concert experience,
attendees can expect a premium open bar, lots of fun surprises,
raffles, and more. As guests arrive, they will receive complimentary
valet parking and champagne as they make their way to the rooftop
celebration. Biscuit Miller & The Mix will take the stage around 8:00
pm. From there, Déjà Blues: NEXTGEN will rock the night away!
A special thank you to our event committee – led by co-chairs
Dean Hastings & Jon Seeley – for helping WRC and the ELC pull
this all together! We are grateful for your time, commitment, and
enthusiasm. Without you, this year’s event could not happen,
so THANK YOU!
Tickets are available for $175.00 per ticket – or $150 per ticket
for discounted bundles of 6 or more – and can be purchased
online at MyWRC.org/Blues. Déjà Blues: NEXTGEN is sure to be
a sell-out event, so be sure to get your tickets early!
Proceeds from this incredible night will support the Women’s
Resource Center (WRC) and the From Cradle to College
Foundation – a direct support organization for the Early Learning
Coalition of Manatee County (ELC). Both WRC and the ELC
share a common good to engage, educate, and empower
families in Manatee County. Your support impacts our missions
tremendously. Every $500 raised contributes toward one of
the following: eight weeks of quality child care; books for first
grade students at a Title 1 school; five sessions of mental health
counseling; five sessions of career coaching.
With your support, we can educate today and empower
tomorrow. We hope you’ll join us!
