PHSC offers a full range of services designed to support student success.
Academic Success Center (ASC)
The ASC provides the support necessary for
academic success including tutoring, testing services
and individualized instructional materials. ASCs are
located on each campus.
The Office of Student Accessibility Services provides
support and assistance to students with disabilities
based on need and documentation.
The first step to leaving your mark and making it gold
starts in the PHSC Office of Admissions and Student
Records with an application for admission. A $25
non-refundable application fee may be paid online at
the time of application or at any PHSC College Store.
Academic advisors provide current and accurate
information on college policies, procedures,
resources and programs. Advisors work with
students to create class schedules and to help set
and achieve educational and career goals.
Students may access services online and oncampus
to help choose and prepare for a career and
plan goals. Resources include career advising; an
assessment tool for career and related PHSC program
exploration; internship opportunities; career readiness
workshops; and an online job board and job fairs for
local employers to hire PHSC students and alumni!
There are many options to pay for education and
training. Financial aid is available through grants,
scholarships, direct student loans and student
employment. To determine financial eligibility, submit
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
online at fafsa.ed.gov. PHSC’s school code is 010652.
The PHSC Foundation offers more than 220 endowed
scholarships and over 50 annual scholarships. The
foundation scholarship application priority deadline is
the second Friday in April.
Student Life and Leadership
The Student Life and Leadership department offers
more than 50 student clubs and organizations. Events
and activities develop life and leadership skills, and
promote citizenship and personal growth. Students
are encouraged to participate and get involved.
Testing services are offered to assist students with
their academic and career goals. Tests are available
to place into college-level courses; enter limitedaccess
programs; meet basic skills requirements for
career programs and employment; explore career
options and related majors; assess prior learning to
earn college credit; and achieve industry certification
