Mia has a new book coming out
titled Fighting For My Life where
she shares what was happening at
the end of his life. Not just with
the depression and the guilt over
his son, but all the circumstances
surrounding his life and the last
days of his life. There will be no
more sweeping these challenges
under the rug. The book will also
document the struggles Mia has
overcome, as she lost 30 years of
sobriety after the tragedies, and
share about her daughter, Paris, as
they worked to move forward.

Turning Heartbreak
Into Healing
For Others
The twin pain and grief of her
son’s suicide and former husband’s
passing overwhelmed St.
John. It also represented a true
teaching moment. She herself believed
that her emotional response,
including falling from her own
commitment to sobriety, was normal
for a person experiencing profound
grief. Those who cared for
her the most knew differently.
Her loved ones feared that she was
“at risk of dying myself or taking
my life,” they stepped in and
checked her into a treatment facility.
Since those with mental illness
conditions such as alcoholism, often
cannot achieve a proper selfappraisal
of their own condition, it
often comes down to family or
friends to intervene to ensure that
the patient gets the treatment that
they need in safe surroundings.
Tragedy in her life has not dissuaded
St. John from her mission
of helping others. In fact, it has
helped her feel that much more
determined. She speaks openly
about the losses that she and her
family have endured, while also
opening up about her own struggles
with addiction and mental illness.
St. John’s Knowledge Is Power
Foundation also continues to help
her live up to her goal to make a
difference. She is a true mental
health hero. Mia has recently produced
a production of a film designed
to educate the public about
mental illness, and to expose the
failures of Los Angeles County in
their negligent treatment of sufferers.
As St. John explained, “We all
suffer from something at one
point,” she continued. “I just want
people to talk about it. And if I
couldn’t talk about my own problems,
then how can I expect anyone
else to?”
Julian’s story is featured and is
shining a light on the corruption &
fraud in government agencies putting
profits over lives. You can
watch the documentary on the
mental health system that focuses
on Los Angeles County Department
of Mental Health & the California
Department of Health on
YouTube under “Julian” Bobby

The documentary does point out
that this is a challenge Nationwide
not just in California.
