Traveling to Europe enjoying local culture, food, ancient history and
visited European countries is Italy. Among the popular destinations are
Rome, Venice, Tuscany and Florence, yet there is a hidden treasure trove
of beauty in the less traveled region of Puglia. Locals are welcoming and
sightseeing, awe inspiring beaches, and architectural gems.
Europe’s great agricultural areas. As home to some 60 million olive trees,
many over 1,000 years old, its immense plains and rolling hills produce much
of Italy’s wine and olive oil. The terrain and climate provide vast quantities of
Puglia also produces most of the hard durum wheat used to make pasta,
and is known for burrata cheese, and authentic fresh thick crusted bread.
The cuisine in this region is an essential part of the Puglia experience.

Chef Dawn Bause has added Puglia as a favorite to her list of small group
