The Grand Central District is located 14 blocks from downtown
St Petersburg and is adjacent to the Warehouse Arts District and
Historic Kenwood. The Historic Kenwood neighborhood was
voted amongst the top ten cottage communities in the county
the country. The Warehouse Arts District consists of hundreds
of nationally and locally recognized artists representing the full
spectrum of the visual arts. The Arts Exchange, a city sponsored
initiative, just recently opened 11,000 sf of studio space of an
ultimate 50,000 sf programs to encourage future development
of the arts within the district. The Factory, a creative incubator,
consisting of 8 warehouses over 6.5 acres is imminent as well as
many other arts and entertainment arts related venues.
As a result of these development trends, Grand Central is quickly
becoming the center of gravity for arts and entertainment within St
Petersburg as well as the region as a whole. As an example, the 35,000
sf Imagine Museum recently opened its doors featuring an amazing

and other services that are known to be local favorites. If you want
variety and would like to venture out to the festivities of downtown,
you can leave your car behind and catch the Grand Central Trolley
right outside your door. The Trolley will connect you to downtown,
the beaches, or you can alternatively walk a block to the Coast Bike
Share Station that has 30 local stations.
Opening soon within the district will be 800 new apartments, a
Tru Hotel, a 10,000-sf destination brewery/restaurant, a newly
and multiple restaurants. Several townhome projects have been
announced including Ad Lofts at 2250 Central Ave. that will consist
of 7 luxury loft homes and 5,000 sf of retail. Investors from all over
are coming with new exciting plans.
All in all, Grand Central is the cool, local, cultured, exciting, fun place
