Students Succeed
at Delaware Valley
Science Fair
Holmdel High School students were successful at the 72nd Delaware
Valley Science Fair. Junior Benjamin Lin was also named
the silver medalist of all categories of 11th grade. Lin will be
-
nately, the ISEF event for 2020 has been canceled; however, Lin will
further be honored as an alumnus of the Society for the Science and
competitors to be offered a partial scholarship from Drexel University.
This is the second time in recent years that a Holmdel High
School student has been named a medalist at the Delaware Valley
Additionally, the following students are members of the Honors
Advanced Research class taught by Dr. Josephine Blaha at Holmdel
High School. They have been involved in sophisticated STEM research
projects that advanced to the Delaware Valley Science Fair after selection
as winning entries in the regional Jersey Shore Science Fair
(JSSF) in March 2020.
Grade 12
• Vrishin Patel: Third place, chemistry
• Aidan Choo: Second place, mathematics
Grade 11
• Rick Hsu, Lauren Lepore, and Evelyn Toscarelli: Honorable
mention, behavioral and social sciences
• Benjamin Lin: First place, chemistry and silver medalist for
grade 11 categories
• Ayan Lateef: Third place, mathematics
in the 11th Grade categories.
