The Monmouth County Fair, one of the summer’s happiest, noisiest
and most action-packed events, is returning this Wednesday to Sunday,
July 21 through 25 to the East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski
Road in Freehold.
After a year’s absence, the Monmouth County Fair is back in a big
-
ible performances, rides, food and, of course, those delightful animal exhibits
shared by members of the Monmouth County 4-H Association.
The fair has something for everyone. There are crafts, food and exciting
shows like the Bwana Jim Wildlife Show; Hilby, The Skinny German
Juggle Boy; Hell on Wheels BMX Stunt Show and The Motorcycle Madness
Thrill Show; Ready GO Dog Show; Jeff Wilson Horsemanship; Tara
Jones Pieceful Solutions Riding & Training; and it wouldn’t be complete
without Robinson’s Racing Pigs.
The Monmouth County Fair is organized and presented by the Monmouth
County Park System in cooperation with the Monmouth County
4-H Association.
They promise the same fair that has become a family tradition. Music
will be back on the stages with performances by The Big House Band
on Wednesday night; Shore Thing on Thursday night; After the Reign on
Friday night; Remember Jones and The Motor City Revue on Saturday
night; and The Last Whippoorwill on Sunday. Saturday and Sunday will
also feature the children’s favorite Yosi & The Superdads.
Another favorite making its way back is the Fair’s Home & Garden
Competition. You will stare for hours at the works of the amazing talented
folks competing in categories that include crafts, needlework, art, pho-
-
tions from the Central Jersey Beekeepers Association, Deep Cut Gardens
staff and Thompson Park Creative Arts Center staff.
And for the fearless, get set for thrills on the endless variety of rides
provided by Reithoffer Shows. Choose single ride tickets or ride wristbands
which will be available daily and allow the brave unlimited rides
for just $25. Ride wristbands can also be purchased online through July
purchase at the Fair for $25 on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; and
$30 on Friday and Saturday. Rides operate when weather permits.
Hours are 4 to 11 pm Wednesday through Friday, 11 am to 11 pm
Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm Sunday.
General admission to the fair is $8 per adult, and children 17 and
under are admitted free. On Sunday, seniors 65 and older and active military
with card are also free. For the most current information about the
