Welcome Back,
New Jersey
What’s that? After last year’s summer of silence, New Jersey is
the night skies, music spills out of restaurants and clubs, and big
-
ment destinations. It sure feels good to hear all the good news – and to
see and be a part of it too.
Even though we’re not all the way back, we are really feeling like
the old Jersey Shore again. Each day, more of our favorite spots reopen.
back on the waterways. Theaters are opening up, along with summer
be generous. We encourage you to visit all our local businesses, especially
the advertisers in The Journal. Their support makes delivering this
with the highest attention and professionalism.
enjoying summer at the shore. Think about where we were just a short
year ago. Think of the people who worked so hard for our health and
safety. Think about the daily warriors who stocked our shelves, kept our
gas tanks full and delivered all those packages. Think of the people who
worked double shifts and those who lost their jobs. Think about all of it.
What we have been through as individuals, a community, a country and a
world has been surreal, and hopefully each of us has developed a deeper
appreciation for what is truly important in all our lives.
We invite you to read “The Road Back” story of another hero of the
pandemic, along with all the other great stories in this month’s magazine.
We are already working on our big August Back to School Guide, and
if you would like to showcase your business or service in this big edition,
contact Director of Sales Patrick Collins at 732-859-4139.
We also thank you for your many photos for our busy social media
sites. Seeing and sharing your images and stories with our community is
our great pleasure, so send yours to us today.
We hope that you will bring your copy of The Journal with you on all
your travels, whether it’s slipped in a beach bag or 30,000 feet in the air
as you travel to a vacation spot.
Let’s all make this the summer we wanted so badly last year. Eat dinner
out, barbeque, toast to your friends and families, dance under the
stars, and make sure you get to the beach at least a few times. And don’t
forget that ice cream cone, and go ahead and get the big one. I’ll be right
there enjoying one too.
Wishing you a safe, healthy, fun and sizzling summer from the me
and the staff at The Journal!
