This coastal species has a very distinctive appearance,
with a conical to rounded crown, a
short, sturdy, shaggy brown trunk and many
small branches covered in small succulent
green leaves. Use bay cedar as a specimen,
border plant, screen or hedge in places subject
to bright sun, salt winds and brief saltwater
flooding. Readily trained as a small
tree and can be used in containers.
