Falling in Place

of dad’s passing, but also caregiver.com's 26th
anniversary and mom’s 88th birthday celebration.
The way these three events tie together has much
to do with the founding of our lives supporting
family caregivers.

with Alzheimer’s, strokes, diabetes and cancers.
In 1994, I returned home to South Florida to help mom care for my
grandparents and realized how much a toll these labors of love were taking
on her health and well-being. I then started my life as a caregiver’s caregiver
best advice and support we received was from our fellow caregivers. This
led to the creation of Today’s Caregiver magazine, caregiver.com, the
Fearless Caregiver books, conferences and guides, to support the greatest
healthcare experts – family caregivers.
Now that we have all lived through Covid-19 these past 18 months of
caregiving, it has become crystal clear that isolation is a killer and needs to
be battled at all costs. Thankfully, digital media such as Zoom have helped
