After a one-year hiatus due to
School's most cherished annual
traditions returned on March 27 as the
Jesuit Dads' Club hosted the annual
regional Special Olympics.

South Florida, the Special Olympics were

the Hillsborough
Pinellas
Summer Games
had returned for the

Jesuit students – were thrilled to be back
in action.
The athletes competed in bocce,

Coast Regional Director for the
Special Olympics in Florida, and Ernie
Garateix, P '21, the Dads' Club chair
for the Special Olympics, led the way
for the resumption of the Special
Olympics throughout Florida. The
Dads' Club is involved year-round
in planning the event, and their
dedicated involvement in the Special
Olympics dates back decades.
