“A lot of it is that
you have to keep
positive and keep
pushing,” she said.
“You cannot lay
down and let it
beat you. You have
to overcome.”
Getting to serve others, reminds her that she is
still here, that she is needed, and that life is about
so much more than ourselves.
Being needed recently took on a whole new level
of meaning when her best friend passed away last
year leaving behind 2 young boys. Selfless and
always willing to serve, Tammy has found herself
as the caregiver to the 9-year-old son left behind
by her best friend. With her own child already
grown, Tammy didn’t think that she would caring
for another child again. But she didn’t hesitate to
step up to the need, as she seldom ever focuses
on her own trials. There is simply no limit to how
selfless Tammy is.
“I’ve been given this extra time for a reason, and
I’m not going to waste it.”
