Eat-up to Cool-Down:
15 Nutritious Foods
that can Hydrate your body!
Staying hydrated in the Las Vegas desert climate can be a
challenge for anyone. Trying to stay hydrated after you have had
Bariatric Surgery can be an even greater challenge that you may
find yourself faced with, especially during the long, hot months of
summer.
No longer can you drink down large amounts of liquid in a few
gulps, but rather, you must take small sips throughout the day in
order to provide your body with the water it needs to stay in
optimal health!
After Bariatric Surgery, there are a few things that
you can expect – your stomach is much smaller and
narrower than it used to be. It can only hold about
¼ cup of solid food or ½ cup of liquid; about the
size of a large egg. What this means is that you
can only eat and/or drink a limited amount of
calories per day, making it vital to choose foods
and beverages that will give your body maximum
nutrition and hydration.
Choosing any of the water-rich foods listed
below can help you prevent dehydration,
nutrient deficiencies and can even help
preserve muscle tissue* while
you are losing weight.
