I found this country
fascinating. It’s an island
nation with an eclectic
m i x o f c u l t u r e s .
Singapore is one of the
world’s major commercial
hubs, with the fourthbiggest
financial center
and one of the five
busiest
ports.
Acute poverty is rare in
S i n g a p o r e ; t h e
government has rejected
the idea of a generous
welfare system, stating
that each generation
must earn and save
enough for its entire life
cycle.
Singapore has four official
l angua g e s : Eng l i sh,
Malay, Mandarin, and
Tamil. English is the
common language.
Singapore
Its globalized and diversified economy depends heavily
on trade, especially manufacturing. Forbes rates
Singapore as the third-highest per capita income
in the
world. It’s one of the most expensive places in the
world. It ranks high internationally
with regard to
education, healthcare, government transparency, and
economic competitiveness. It’s a very multicultural
country.
Singapore has the world’s highest percentage of
millionaires, with one out of every six households having
at least one million US dollars in disposable wealth.
While walking around the city it was hard not to notice
the overwhelming numbers of Maseratis, Bentleys and
Ferraris on the streets.
The World Health Organization ranks Singapore’s
healthcare system as 6th overall in the world in its World
Health Report. In general, Singapore has had the
lowest infant mortality
rate in the world for the past two
decades. Life expectancy in Singapore is 80 for males and
85 for females. placing the country
life expectancy.

The country has strict laws against drug use, and has one
of the lowest rates of drug use in the world. Crime is low.
Getting around the city was quite easy.
