UNION REC THE HEART OF THE
COMMUNITY
A true historic courthouse square,
Blairsville’s downtown has been
the hub of community life since
the time of hitching posts and
“market days.” And today, it plays
host to everything from community
AIN DR
wide holiday celebrations to art
festivals and car shows. It’s also
enjoying a rebirth as a new
generation of inspired restaurateurs
and merchants bring their
downtown visions to life.
Of course, in the middle of it all
sits the beautifully renovated
Historic Union County Courthouse.
While it no longer serves
as the County’s legal courthouse,
today it brims with museum
exhibits, seminars and weekly
summer concerts provided by the
Union County Historical Society.
A downtown
Blairsville landmark,
the Hole in the Wall
restaurant has been
keeping residents and
visitors well-fed
since 1931.
