ALEXANDER’S STORE:
SHOPPING VARIETY WITH A HELPING OF HISTORY
In 1953, Hoyt and Ruby Alexander purchased a small trading post in the
Trackrock area. They sold feed and seed, a few groceries, and gas. As
requests came in, they started adding other goods to the store —
beginning with a few clothing items and shoes. Now, 65 years and two
generations later, the once-tiny trading post has bloomed into a unique
50,000-square-foot, one-stop-shopping experience — offering
everything from designer boots to buckshot to bedroom suites. Today,
youngest son Eddy and his wife Sandy are passing on the Alexander
family’s shared traditions and values to their son, Mark, and his wife,
Kennetha — the third generation to operate this Blairsville landmark.
Be sure to stop in for great prices and an even better selection!
